Fil Doux — French for soft thread — is a family‑owned textile house with roots in Chile and Brazil and a home in Brooklyn. We spin, weave, dye, and finish every fabric ourselves, so beauty and responsibility are woven in from the very first thread.
Our roots
It began with the wonder of the natural world.
Our founder, Leo Novik, grew up in Chile, surrounded by landscapes whose color and texture he never stopped trying to capture. That reverence for nature became the thread that runs through everything we make.
The beauty of mill‑direct
We control every step, from raw yarn to finished fabric.
Because we control fully vertical mills, nothing about our fabric is left to chance. We produce our own base yarn, then spin, weave, dye, and finish it under one roof. That integration means custom color without compromise, remarkable consistency, and lead times of just 4–6 weeks — air‑freighted, so your deadlines are always met.
